CMYKCyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. Four colors used in process printing.
Computer to Plate (CTP)Technology used to create plates for printing without the use of film. Printing workflow term which eliminates film and mechanical stripping processes.
GicléeFrench for a spraying of ink. Term used to describe high quality ink jet fine art printing.
HP Design Jet 5000Wide format ink-jet printer. Utilizes dye or UV inks on a wide variety of substrates. Print on rolls up to 41" wide and up to 100' long.
Iris PrinterWide format ink-jet printer used for Giclée printing and known for versatile color proofing. Capable of printing on a wide variety of substrates. Prints on sheets up to 33" x 46".
Kodak ApprovalDigital proofing process. Sizes up to 12.5" x 19".
Matchprint4-color proofing method using film. Industry standard for calibrated film proof. Sizes up to 25 " x 35 ".
PMS ColorsPantone Matching System. Industry accepted standard for spot color printing. Also widely used for process color build reference.
RGBRed, Blue, and Green. Color process used by TV or computer monitors to display images.
SWOPSpecifications for Web Offset Printing. Industry standard for total ink densities and trapping standards.
